Russ Varnell was born in Black Creek, NC and raised on real Traditional Country Music. His style, and the name of his band, is a reflection of that love for old fashioned Country.

Russ has played a number of shows with his hero, Buck Owens, has his own Television Show, "The Russ Varnell Show", writes many of his own songs, and performs in venues across the country.
