Those of us involved in programming presentations for
theaters are always guessing, especially newly opened venues like our Turnage
Theater. The marketplace for ticket buyers isn’t identified completely as yet,
and the choices presented to us by touring agents aren’t always to our liking.
So, sometimes we hit a home run and sometimes we strike out. Both types of
plate appearances are inevitable.
But we know we have hit at least one long ball!
The Turnage Theater is really excited to announce that because the March 2nd performance of the Glenn Miller Orchestra is sold out, and due to strong popular demand, we are adding a second performance. The originally scheduled concert is at 3 PM, the new concert is slated for 7:30 that same evening of March 2nd. We are all so pleased that this concert of great big band music is being so enthusiastically received.
If you would like to exchange your current tickets into the new performance, we will be happy to help you do that. There will be a $1 charge for the exchange, and of course, if you upgrade your seat there will be the additional charge for the difference between the price of your current ticket and the better seat. Please call the Turnage Theater Box Office (975-1191) and let us help you with an exchange or a new purchase!
On Saturday, February 23, at 3 PM and 8 PM, a fabulous show,
AFRICAN FOOTPRINT, will thrill you all. This show tells the vibrant and diverse
history of
Then it is, indeed, on to
See you at the theater.
Time is running out for you to join the Young Enthusiasts of the Turnage for their first ever fund raising event for the theater. On Saturday, February 16, come to the Turnage and join this great new group of supporters for food, fun and music. It promises to not only be a great way to spend an evening, but the proceeds go to sponsoring the appearance of the renowned Carolina Chamber Symphony (conducted by Yours Truly) at the Turnage on April 20. Call our office (975-1711) for more information on how to participate and my most sincere thanks to all of the members of the Young Enthusiasts who have worked so hard on this event! |
